The Humane Society of Yuma is very excited about the progress that has been made in the past 10 years here at the shelter and in Yuma County. When we first entered the shelter we had a live release rate of 17% with our cat population, we are currently seeing a 75% live release rate. For dogs we have gone from a 63% live release rate to 94%!!!!
