I think it's mostly personally preference but for me, I'd prefer the FPS advantage of the 3.7" barrel and the slightly longer sight radius of the XL slide over the slight amount of recoil reduction offered by the M-Macro's comped slide and 3.1" barrel.

The big difference is where the SIG Comp slide is pretty solid, the Shalotek comp is outstanding.
